Agoracs
Agoracs is the name of my “GmbH”. It’s a private limited company that I founded in Zurich in 2008. It’s the starting place for all my ventures, like SOMESSO.
Agoracs is my private incubator where small ideas are developed and take shape. As soon as third party stakeholders get involved – such as partners, investors, advisory board members – a new company is formed. I am currently working on two (and a half) other projects besides SOMESSO.
What’s in a name?
The Agora was an open “place of gathering” in ancient Greek city-states. Leading citizens would gather in the Agora to hear statements of the ruling king or council. Later, the Agora served as a marketplace where merchants kept stalls or shops to sell their goods under colonnades. The last two letters “-cs” in Agoracs strand for CommunitieS or ConferenceS; modern “places of gathering” encompassing the full service cycle, from beginning to end.
